Thanks for joining me here to EAT MORE. I hope this to grow to be a place that celebrates food, gathering in community, and diving deep into inspiring topics and ingredients. I can’t think of a better way to launch this sub-stack than with this announcement years in the making!! Writing a cook book is truly a project requiring many talents hands and time. Just like the best foods. And after all the writing, editing, cooking and baking, photographing and printing comes the partying!

In the meantime I wanted to share a great recipe from the book recently posted by Cake Zine. These are my go to cookies - my share with new friends, make first thing when back from a trip, perfect soft center and crispy edges, make anyone smile cookies. Make a double batch today and pull portioned cookies out for whenever the craving strikes. These Semolina Chocolate Cookies look like ripples in a pond, each crinkle crunchy and gooey delicious. And a bonus recipe for my ultimate DUNKING MILK. If you’ve ever seen the iconic feast scene from Hook, that’s the vibe.

Recently Published: I wrote a profile of queen of the backyard party Karla Subero Pittol for edibleLA. If you are in Los Angeles, definitely get a snack at one of the parties she throws in the garage. Read it here. Something Fun: Caking out of the box(step!) with Gleb Savchenko of Dancing with the Stars. We mixed and matched recipes from the book to make a showstopper cake and did the hustle along the way.
